After defeating Slocum Baseball Club, 12-6, in game one, Coventry punched their ticket to the Final Four with a 10-2 win at Slocum.

In the top of the fourth inning, Coventry took control of the contest with five runs hits by Braden Deprete (single), Logan Lama (sacrifice fly), Zachary Ellison (single) and Jake Failoa (two-run single).

Lama, who earned the win with four strikeouts in seven innings, allowed no earned runs.

Will Andrews (2/4, one double and 2 rbi’s) and Ronan Gately (2/2, one double and one walk) each collected two hits for Slocum Baseball Club.

For 13-hit arsenal of Coventry, received two hits from Griffin Frenze, Jake Failoa, Aiden Wilkins, Ethan Koczwarski, and Tyler Reall.

There will be a new Rhode Island Connie Mack champion this summer. Flood Ford, who finished 8-3-1 in league play to receive the number seed, swept the two-time defending champions, Narragansett/South Kingstown 39, to advance to the Final Four.

Game One: Flood Ford 7 Narragansett/South Kingstown 6
Chase Bedrosian and Cam Daley with three hits to lead Flood to a 7-6 win in 9 innings over the defending two-time champion, Narragansett/South Kingstown Lions.

Picking up the victory was Dylan Poloski, who pitched five innings of solid relief.

Game Two: Flood Ford 1 Narragansett South Kingstown 0
Led by the pitching of Nolan LaPerche and Moose Marchessault, Flood Ford advanced to the Final Four for the second year in a row with a 1-0 victory over the Lions.

LaPerche, who stuck out ten batters in six innings, allowed just one hit for the victory and Marchessault picked up the save.
The only run of the game came in the top of the second inning when Angelo Fuscellao came up with a timely rbi single.

For the Lions, Aiden Chancy and Bodie Kasier pitched extremely well in this classic pitcher’s duel.
