Led by the solid pitching of senior to be Josh Pedus and incoming freshman, Jack Proulx, West Warwick won their first game of the year. Pedus, who allowed just two runs on three hits, struck out nine batters. Proulx, struck two batters and allowed just one hit in two innings of relief to earn the save.

The Black and Orange, who lost their two games, one by one run and one in extra innings, received strong support offensively.

Beginning in the first inning, WWCM received the timely hit that was missing in their first games when Josh Pedus tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring the first of three runs in the inning.

In the third inning. WWCM scored three more runs on a rbi groundout by Nathan Hunt and a double by Dylan Lombari.

Lombari (2/2, three stolen bases) led the way offensively for WWCM who received hits from Pedus, Caden Denton, Zack Lawrence, Nathan Hunt, Dylan Provoyeur and Leyton Belanger.

Led by a dominate pitching performance by Tyler Reall, Coventry defeated Chariho, 7-1. Reall, who pitched a complete game, struck out 11 batters and allowed just two hits.

His batterymates were Aiden Bocompani and Zachary Ellison.

Back by an eight-hit attack, Keanu Kim pitched a complete game shutout in Slocum Baseball’s 6-0 victory over the Spartans. Travis Howman, who struck out 13 batters in 4 1/3 innings, picked up the loss.

A double by Danny Swanson on the sixth pitch of the at-bat put Slocum Baseball Club on the board in the bottom of the second.

Slocum Baseball Club’s Brycen Pavoni made the most of their chances at the plate. The number eight hitter led the team with two hits in two at bats. Kim went 1-for-2 at the plate as they led the team with two runs batted in.

Eric Bellemore paced Slocum Baseball Club with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.

Johnson and Panillo picked up a hit a piece for Scituate.

Led by the solid pitching of Ethan Gordon (five strikeouts in four innings) and Jack Stevens (six strikeouts in three innings), Chariho defeated East Providence, 12-5.

Offensively, Chariho was led by Adam Carpenter (3/4, 4 rbi’s), Leo Emery (2/3, 2 rbi’s) and Dax Barnatowicz (2 rbi’s).

Also, Noah Holland, Andrew Smith and Luke Hoffman each had one rbi.

Warwick PAL kept their winning streak going by defeating the Bulldogs of Westerly, 10-4.

Bobby Court picked up the victory by striking out nine batters in five innings.

Offensively Pal was led by Andrew Wheeler who had three hits and two RBI’s. In addition, they received support from Austin Wheeler (two hits) Brayden Ogden (two hits) and Tyler Cote (one double and two rbi’s).
